Jakob la Cour Studio is delighted to invite you to its first event in the physical studio in Vanløse, Copenhagen. On Sunday, March 23, at 19:30, we will welcome the artist Hsu Jo-yu 徐若宇 as our featured guest.
Together, Hsu Jo-yu 徐若宇 and I will take you on an intimate journey of storytelling and guided sensory meditation inspired by expeditions to indigenous tribes in Taiwan, reindeer nomads in the North Mongolian taiga, and other mystical places.
Hsu Jo-yu 徐若宇 is a Taiwanese interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and curator whose work explores spiritual sovereignty, ritual knowledge systems, and the politics of animism. She founded Random Trigger, an experimental platform bridging film, performance, and site-specific ritual practice. During her three-week residency at the studio, she is working on the theater script Spiritual Beheading.
