‘Huanlose 2017’ is a virtual reality encapsulation of the Copenhagen suburb Vanløse. Created so the descendants will be able to experience glimpses from the area. The 360 recordings was made in February 2017.
The project has been archived in the local historical archive under section VII Protocol No. 60 so people in the future has a historical time pocket from Vanløse anno 2017.
An interactive installation was build so local citizens was able to explore their own city in virtual reality, map unique locations and tell special stories about their city to the descendants.
The project was initiated by Jakob la Cour in collaboration with Vanløse Local Historical Archive and the Vanløse Cultural Center. The archives provided historical materials as inspiration for the exploration.
